In the End, Engagements Are About Competency Development

No One Size Fits All

To discuss engaging BAi, contact Kim Korn. Each engagement is uniquely considered. BAi does not have a cookbook approach to engagements. Your organization and business situation are unique. How you tackle competitive advantage will be tailored to your circumstances and current capabilities.

Education Engagements

Some organizations may prefer to start with educational sessions. Sessions can be tailored to meet your needs. Topics might include -

  • trends and their implications
  • systems thinking and how it relates to strategy and the business concept
  • innovation, a general capability needed to thrive
  • the strategic management framework: the process, business model, leadership competencies, competitive advantage factors, and architectural perspectives
  • business architecture, developing harmony in defining the business
  • other topics tailored to your needs that fall within the bounds of the strategic management framework

Whatever the educational session, it will be presented in an engaging manner and encourage the participation of the members of the audience.

Consulting Engagements

Engagements can vary from brief ones to just provide a taste of the strategic management framework in actual practice to a full blown strategic management process development initiative.

  • Strategic assessment of the business
  • Innovation and creative thinking exercises
  • Strategic understanding development engagements
  • Business design
  • Strategic management process implementation
  • Strategy alignment

Engagement Control

Whatever the engagement, there are ongoing checkpoints to insure the business leadership's objectives are being attained. Any course corrections or alterations are worked out with the CEO or business leader. It is the leader's engagement. They remain in control of it at all times.

Competency Development

One thing to keep in mind, just as you cannot improve the performance of an overall system by improving the performance of the parts; the strategic management framework is an overall system for superior management performance. The a la carte selections for engagements are primarily to give the client company a starting point and a chance for us to become more familiar with one another. Incremental benefits should result, but a sustainable competitive advantage happens as a result of a highly disciplined approach over a significant span of time.
